CUSTOMER GUIDELINES

By purchasing from Physical Reminder or having any working/business relationship with Physical Reminder or Juniper Young, customers agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. I reserve the right to refuse service for any reason.

2. I do not accept any liability for any unreasonable or negligent use of my products as is determined solely at my own discretion.

CUSTOM PRODUCTS

Physical Reminder is happy to offer custom solutions for specific problems.

That said, I am absolutely not willing to make exact copies of products that already exist, especially when this is requested under the implied or explicitly stated premise of it costing the customer less. Not only will it not cost less, it is super unprofessional to rip off someone else's work.

Seriously, just buy it from the people who have already spent a ton of time, energy, and resources into perfecting it for sale. It really is cheaper than asking someone to prototype it from scratch. It'll probably be better made, too.

REPAIRS

I am happy to offer repairs or repair guidance. Please reach out to [email protected] to get the consultation process started.

Please be advised that while everything can technically be repaired, not everything is worth having repaired. In other words, the condition of your specific item will determine if a repair or replacement will be the overall better option.

Please also note that I reserve the right to charge for any refurbishment or repair.

MATERIALS

I choose to work only with ecologically responsible materials. This means that they are sourced, produced, distributed, and disposable/recyclable in good conscience.

My textiles and notions (webbing, binding, thread) are all GOTS-certified cotton, hemp, or a cotton/hemp blend sourced from Organic Cotton Plus.

The beeswax I use is sourced from Swarmbustin' Honey in West Grove, PA as well as my friend's personal colonies in MD. The wax is filtered to remove bee parts and other impurities. At present I use only beeswax to treat my products, and not other commonly used materials like jojoba oil or pine resin.

I use hardware from WeTOOL, who specializes in 6000 grade aluminum alloy and houses their operations and production in Vietnam.

I dye all my products using my own food scraps (yellow onion skins, avocado pits) and purchase other dyes (raw materials, extracts) from Botanical Colors in Seattle, WA and Maiwa in Vancouver, BC Canada. I am currently working with a friend on growing a dye garden from scratch, so I'll hopefully have some local production going soon!

All this to say that my products are fully compostable and safely biodegradable, excepting the aluminum hardware, which is infinitely recyclable. You can compost the items in your own personal compost, or consult your local municipal guidelines for composting and recycling.
